Camping Trip

Every summer we take the kids camping.

We go on a Friday afternoon and return Sunday afternoon.

We go to a place where there are no bathrooms

and no running water.

The kids sleep under the stars,
go on a long hike,
jump off a rock into a creek,
roast marshmallows,
and sing praise songs around a campfire.

It is their time to be away from the neighborhood
and just be kids.

to make these trips possible over the years.

AFTER SCHOOL CLUB

Every child needs a safe and loving place
to come home to after school.

We provide that every
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Kids show up for a hug,
help with homework,
snacks, games, wrestling...
and we close each day praying for one another.

Dakota House YOUTH GROUP

Our Youth Group meets every Thursday from 4:30--6:00.

There are many challenges and roadblocks for the kids in our neighborhood, and we try to give them alternate ways of handling them.

We want them to know that God has plans for their lives, and that there is hope for a good future.

We take our Youth Group to Calvin Crest for a week in the summer, where they are exposed to new adventures, and have some time away from the neighborhood. Their eyes are opened. and their hearts are moved.
